Features
Formerly known as College of Social Sciences and Management, in August 2011 the College was reorganized and renamed to College of Management. We offer five 4-year BBA programs, nine 2-year MBA programs, and three PhD programs in various academic fields, including Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Management Information Systems, Marketing, Sports and Health Management, and Technology Management. Our MBA in Technology Management and PhD in Technology Management are taught entirely in English.
Status
Our remarkable performance in research and teaching ensures the sustainability and quality of the College. We are keen to launch new research interests in Finance, Sports Management and Technology Management. On a regular basis, the College coordinates forums and workshops for faculty members to exchange knowledge and spark new ideas. For the impact of globalization on the future youth, we develop Entrepreneurship Program and internship program for students. We also work with local/international business and invite recognized business leaders to share their stories in the class.
Since 2009, the College has applied to be accredited by Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB). Our curriculums incorporate international perspectives and highlight specialized skills and technologies. In the long run, the College of Management surely demonstrates its quality assurance after a series of continuous improvements during the accreditation process.
International Collaborations
To strengthen international exposure, we have established strong connections with various overseas universities by conducting collaborative research projects, organizing conferences, and offering dual master degree programs and exchange programs. Our College has continuously attracted students from America, Europe and Asia.
Research
The College of Management has a mission to continuously promote academic innovation that strengthens our research portfolio and output. Our faculty members have published 375 articles in high-ranked journals over the last five years. Close to USD$1.2 million funding are received in competitive research grants every year, while approximately 95% are from government agencies, and the rest are from non-government organizations. In 2014, faculty moved toward joint research with private organizations, particularly with regional industries. An annual increase of 6% of funding since 2014 reflects our strong commitment to university-industry collaboration.
Vision
- To develop knowledge drawn primarily from the Central Taiwan region that aims to benefit the industry, government, and the community.
- To develop a curriculum that educates students to be competent business professionals with global vision, ethical principles, and innovation, and ensure the quality of the curriculum by systematic evaluation process.
- To be the resource hub for interdisciplinary cooperation between the university, industry, the researcher, the students and the alumni.
